Advice from Gandalf the FX:

I cannot comment on the requotes simply because there are too many plausible causes….and requotes do happen.

However, the “one weird thing” is an issue the Broker has to now deal with; and was due to technical failure. An account CAN go negative, this is risk the broker took most likely do to technology failure, and it happens more than you think. But now that you are in debt to the broker your option is to either to pay the broker back and continue trading with them, or to close your account and leave them to handle the loss.
